The MeetDistrict
Code of Conduct

Providing a workspace for more than 1900 Members across four locations absolutely calls for some guidelines in order for it to remain a pleasant environment for everyone to enjoy. Introducing: the MeetDistrict Code of Conduct, which serves as the perfect framework for our Members to actually come together as one Community.

Have you always wanted to be one of our favourite Members? Then dive in, and discover how you can contribute to MeetDistrict’s best version of itself.

*The MeetDistrict MBASSY is a body of Members who regularly come together to discuss a variety of topics that have a direct relation to the MeetDistrict experience and help us to maintain the best possible work environment for the entire Community.

MeetBoxes

  • Don’t use a room without placing a booking
  • Don’t block rooms for your fellow Members and only book a MeetBox when you’ll actually make use of it
  • Respect the timeslot of both your bookings and those of others. Stay courteous and round off your meeting in time
  • Cancel or terminate bookings when you no longer need your MeetBox
  • Close the door behind you when you leave your MeetBox
  • Respect the meeting facilities. Remove your notes from the whiteboards or flipcharts and don’t displace any cables from the technical equipment
  • Make sure to keep this space clean and tidy. Always check whether the chairs are back under the table and whether you didn’t leave behind any personal belongings or waste
  • Take your PMD and paper waste with you to your workplace or the MarketPlace where you can toss it into the correct bin
  • It’s not allowed to bring your own catering in this space without consulting Team MeetDistrict
  • In general, the only food allowed into the MeetBoxes is hand fruit or the biscuit you have with your coffee. Ask Team MeetDistrict about the possibilities about something more such as breakfast, lunch, etc.
  • Chairs can never be taken out of their MeetBoxes
  • Don’t bring extra chairs from the MarketPlace into your MeetBox. Avoid some of your attendees having to stand up and book a room with sufficient seating capacity
  • Did you spill something? Don’t forget to clean up after yourself or to notify us when the electrical infrastructure might be impacted

MarketPlace

  • Enjoy your team drink at the MarketPlace after office hours, and respect your volume
  • Something to celebrate? That’s great! Tune in with Team MeetDistrict on the possibilities
  • Respect the space you make use of. Remember to not put your feet on the table and to leave everything clean and tidy
  • The MarketPlace is optimally used by respecting your neighbours and the time of day. Enjoy it as an open workspace during office hours, make room for its function as a lunch space from 12:00 – 13:00 and come together for after work drinks when the clock hits 17:00
  • The MarketPlace can be booked as an EventSpace as of 17:00. Contact Team MeetDistrict to discuss the possibilities
  • Don’t forget your headphones when you take a videocall in the SocialSpaces. Not just you? Then book a MeetBox so no one can eavesdrop on your meeting
  • Our PhoneBooths were designed to take a call, not to use as a mini workspace
  • In order for everyone to make use of the MarketPlace, don’t take up more than one seat
  • Brief calls are acceptable; extended or repetitive calls should be taken elsewhere (e.g. PhoneBooths)

Kitchen

  • Don’t leave your dirty cutlery in the sink, but dispose of them in the correct drawer

  • All the tableware in the shared cupboards are considered to be available for shared use as well
  • Our coffee machines run solely on MeetDistrict coffee patches
  • Remove your waste from the table and dispose of it in the correct bin
  • Respect the space you make use of and be attentive to keep the kitchen, microwaves and fridges clean for your fellow Members
  • Out of towels, soap, or did you notice something is not working? Turn to the Service Button and let us know by creating a ticket for Community
  • Clean up after yourself when you spill something
  • Dispose of your empty beer bottles in the correct containers, and of other glass materials in the suited drawer or closet
  • Remember that it is not allowed to make use of electrical appliances like toasters
  • Do you have any leftovers? Ask Team MeetDistrict to draw up a communication and treat your fellow Members by presenting them on the bar!

Fridges

  • Respect the fridges’ cleanliness by removing expired products, taking home your leftovers on Friday and not saving your items in textile bags.
  • Remember that the fridge is not your personal liquor cabinet, but a shared amenity for the entire MeetDistrict Community.
  • Unless stated otherwise, you can never help yourself to food and drinks that aren’t yours.

SocialSpaces

CoffeeCorner

  • Only take what you need, don’t use the CoffeeCorner as a supply point for your office.
  • Craving some biscuits? Make sure there are some left for your fellow Members too.
  • Did you notice an error? Turn to the Service Button and let us know by creating a ticket for Facility.
  • Dispose of your coffee and tea cup in the designated waste bin to recycle properly. Everything else belongs in the regular waste bin.
  • Try to reuse your disposable coffee, tea or water cup as much as possible.

PrintCorner

  • Respect the material at hand. These shared facilities and stationary are for everyone to use and should at all times be available in a good state
  • The print paper used to supply the printing facilities belongs to MeetDistrict alone and can under no circumstances be removed from its drawer or storage space
  • When your printed files are of no use after all, dispose of them at the right location so the PrintCorner remains clutter free
  • Out of paper, ink or did you notice an error? Turn to the Service Button and let us know by creating a ticket for Community
  • Have something to share? Please make use of the magnets at hand, and remember to remove your communication when no longer relevant
  • Permanent markers have no place on our whiteboard
  • Did you find any prints that aren’t yours? Thank you for discretely handing them over to Team MeetDistrict

Sanitary Facilities

  • Make sure to keep this space clean and tidy
  • Respect our sanitary infrastructure by exclusively throwing toilet paper into the toilet. Turn to the provided waste bins for all other hygiene products
  • If needed, eliminate all evidence of your visit by turning to the toilet brush
  • As part of our sustainability efforts, exclusively toss paper towels in the Tork waste bins. Other waste needs to be thrown out elsewhere
  • Don’t forget to wash your hands, we have such nice smelling soap!
  • Out of soap or towels, or did you notice something weird? Turn to the Service Button and let us know by creating a ticket for Community
  • Young mothers have access to a separate room for breast pumping. Ask us where to find it!

CarPark

CarPark

  • Respect the speed limit of 10 km/h
  • Take up one parking spot for your car only
  • Only leave your car at an electrical charging spot when you make proper use of it
  • Remove your car from the electrical charging spot when you’re done charging
  • The disabled parking space is exclusively available for people with a disability or who are pregnant
  • Keep the pedestrian area, entrance, and exit free at all times
  • When you damage another car, come forward and notify Team MeetDistrict
  • For your safety, don’t ride your bicycle into the car park, but enter with your bike on hand. When you do take the risk of not dismounting, the responsibility is yours
  • Respect the designated parking space and don’t leave your car on the road
  • The better you follow the car park policy, the least amount of trouble you’ll encounter
  • The car park is no dumping area for your waste, so bring it with you
  • Did you notice an error at the parking barriers or the parking meter? Turn to the Service Button and let us know by creating a ticket for Facility. In case of emergency press the help button at hand
  • All vehicles belong either in the car park or in the bike storage; including electrical steps and folding bikes.
  • It is not permitted to charge batteries of bicycles and steps at MeetDistrict, whether it’d be the MarketPlace or the PrivateOffices

FlexSpaces

  • It’s not allowed to attach anything to the walls or to write on the windows
  • This might be the LoudDistrict, but we do expect you to limit your decibels when taking calls or talking
  • It’s not allowed to leave your own furniture or other materials in the FlexSpace
  • Don’t take up more than one FlexSeat
  • These computer screens are for common use; first come, first served. They should never leave their spot
  • Every FlexSeat should be booked, don’t sneak in with someone else to illegitimately claim a spot
  • The door should remain closed at all times. Not only to avoid misuse of the FlexSpace, but to guarantee an optimal climate control as well
  • Respect this room’s function. SilentDistrict means silent, LoudDistrict means… less silent
  • Even though this is a shared space, respect each other’s privacy
  • Make sure to recycle correctly and to leave this room as if you were never here
  • The FlexSpace is not a MeetBox, take your meeting elsewhere
