On 22nd and 28th November MeetDistrict had the honour of partnering up with Forbes Belgium for their Forbes 30 Under 30 Summit and with the Belgian Sales Awards. Two prestigious award shows celebrating some of the finest professionals our country has to offer, resonating deeply with how much we value innovation, ambition, and excellence within the business world.
At MeetDistrict, we firmly believe in the importance of empowering business professionals to thrive, connect, and shape the future. Needless to say our support for these events was never just about seeing our logo on the events’ communication – instead it has always been fuelled by our daily commitment to fostering a vibrant, dynamic business community in Belgium.
Have a look at two beautiful evenings where we invited some of our Members to join us in celebrating the next generation of young potentials and our country’s most impressive sales professionals.
For over a decade now, Forbes has compiled the world-renowned 30 Under 30 list. The list has become a globally recognised platform for young leaders who are making a big impact on the world in a range of different industries.
This year, the list was brought to Belgium to highlight the most promising young entrepreneurs, scientists, creatives and leaders under 30. These professionals do not only excel in their fields, but contribute to growth and prosperity both within Belgium and far beyond the border.
Major congratulations to each and every laureate taking home their personal award, but we’re particularly proud of Global Head of Operations at Loop Earplugs and MeetDistrict Member Cédric Schepers. Can we have a round of applause, please!
For the second edition of this event, the Belgian Sales Awards have put a spotlight on our country’s finest sales people – this year specifically focussing on the sales talents working in IT and Tech.
In total, 24 nominees were competing to bring home the awards for 6 different categories. And while the high quality of competitors proved considerably tricky during the nomination process, it were these professionals to rightly call themselves the winners of the evening: Pieter De Meyer (Business Developer), Jan-Willem Saris (Account Manager), Maarten De Schepper (Sales Manager), Jan Coppieters (Young Sales), Dirk Deroost (Lifetime Achievement), and Patrick Goris (Popular Vote ).
And you know what they say about sales people: they know how to throw a party! Resulting in a spectacular evening with plenty of entertainment, good vibes, and guest performances by Tourist LeMC and Jan Jaap van der Wal.
Next year, let's have some MeetDistrict on the stage as well! With a Community of around 2000 Members, we're sure to have some incredible sales talent walking around in our hallways - and we're set on finding it. Stay tuned for more!
